Customer reviews

We love receiving reviews form our lovely customers, but one we received recently made us smile:

“Ruth and her team managed my project from start to finish. This was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Had I not done this, I would have been out of my depth with a major renovation project. Ruth’s attention to detail saved me from many poor decisions. Without Ruth, my home would have turned into an ugly hybrid of non-matching furniture and design.

The end result was totally transforming and I consistently have positive comments about the transformation.”

Diary of a Victorian Refurbishment part 3. The structural work is nearly done!

Things are moving in quickly, after the initial rip out which left our house as a bare shell.  All the internal walls are now down and supported by steels, which is going to create a light airy open plan kitchen/diner.  The back wall of our old house has been demolished and an new extension has been built to further expand the space, using bricks that we sourced to be sympathetic with the existing.

Most of our structural work is done and we are looking forward to the next phase where we start to put everything back in.

Diary of a Victorian house refurbishment. Part 2. Our Victorian refurb is back to the bare bones!

The work has stated to bring our Victorian terrace up to modern standards

We have had to strip it completely back to the brick to bring the insulation and soundproofing up to modern standards.

We are totally changing the layout to a more modern open plan look, so have taken down all the internal walls downstairs.  The steels are just in to support the floors above and we have removed one of the fireplaces to make way for a modern streamlined kitchen.

So far, so good.
